Comfy beds, nice apartment, quiet and good view totally spoilt by the horrible smell and no permit resulting in a parking ticket Upon entering the apartment you notice a foul drain smell throughout. This eminates from both bathrooms and is absolutely awful. Reading back through reviews it's obviously been an issue for years and the hosts try to disguise it with reed diffusers in the bathrooms. However these were dry and not working. You have to leave the fans on all the time and keep the doors closed. It's not the traps as I tried to locate the source. Regarding parking, all the info they send clearly states several times that you need to display a permit or you'll get a ticket. Upon arrival there was no permit left for us. Again reviews show others seem to have had issues. A very helpful lady in their office said she would contact housekeeping and get them to bring one around. 24hours later, still no permit and we're the proud owners of a parking ticket on my birthday. Another phone call and one eventually appears in the lockbox 12 hours before departure. Its now 15 days since we left and after constant chasing they promise the fine will be refunded today. The office people are very helpful but totally let down by their housekeeping and accounts department. There was also mould and hairs in the showers as icing on the cake. You'll also be bombarded by marketing emails offering add ons at a price. I'd rather spend £30 in a local cafe than pay to check in 2hrs early. In conclusion, a birthday weekend and following weeks spoilt by unnecessary stress, worry and hassle.
