Commondale is situated within The Sandbeck, a large, fully renovated seafront Victorian house located on Whitby’s West Cliff overlooking the beach and outer harbour. Walk a little further and down the Khyber Pass steps and you’ll be at the harbour and the quayside with all its amusements, cafes, bars and famous fish and chips shops and restaurants. Alternatively take a stroll along the West Pier and look back at your accommodation on the West Cliff. To the front is the path down to the Blue Flag West Cliff beach and the Whitby Pavilion with its many events. The town centre and all its shops, cafes and restaurants are close by.
