Ease of access via keysafe  This apartment was filthy on arrival. Dirty towels strewn across the bathroom, dirty kitchen, full bins, urine still in toilet and not even a toilet roll in sight. Phoned host and stay, the rental company and was told they would try and find a housekeeper to clean up, then nothing after several calls. Found out next morning they had cancelled the booking at 9.30pm on the first night of a 2 night stay without having the courtesy of a call to inform us so. Had to relocate and pay for alternative accommodation, then had a 3 week battle to get a refund. Eventual refund made without any notification of them doing so, obviously pained them greatly. Use ‘host and stay’ at your peril. Disgraceful.

Lovely location and fine for our stay! Had some issues getting into the property as the lock was stiff and had to contact the company who were nice. No shower towels were supplied, and we had to search for a cover for the sofa, which had stains on it. We ended up fitting 3 people in the bed though. Light bulbs for the lounge area and lamp here weren’t working. No wine glasses so we had to buy our own! Window in the bedroom didn’t stay open unless we propped something under it.

Without doubt the worst Airbnb experience I have ever had in Cheltenham — and I visit the town two weekends every month. The apartment looked nothing like the photos advertised. On arrival, the shower was filthy and had to be cleaned before it could even be used. The bed and bedsheets were absolutely disgusting, covered with urine stains and hairs, proving they had not been cleaned or changed. To make matters worse, the entire place reeked of damp. This property is in no way fit to be listed on Airbnb as described . It was unhygienic, misleading, and completely unacceptable. Future guests should think twice.

The light and the location.  The apartment is very nice. But the cleanness was poor. As soon as we walked in we could smell an unpleasant smell. it was coming from the bedsheets in the bedroom. They smelled really awful, of badly dried laundry, it was so unpleasant. Also the rug in the sitting room was pretty grotty and the carpet overall was old and dirty. In various places the wallpaper was pealing off too. Also there was no bin bag in the bin and no bin bags to be found. We had to use supermarket bags that we had. And there was no sugar and not even a half pint of milk in the fridge. And I had to reconnect the router to the telly too because there was no signal and once I managed, there was no TV channels so I had to log into my personal account to at least watch the BBC iplayer. The bad smelling bedsheets was the worse of all though. 

Lovely little apartment! Clean, bright and modern with big Georgian windows letting in lots of natural light. Plenty of amenities with everything we needed for 5 nights and a big comfortable bed. Perfect location in Cheltenham with Montpellier on your doorstep and a short walk into town centre. Lots of lively bars and restaurants in the area but the apartment was peaceful. Host was friendly, responsive and very accommodating.

I booked this accommodation for 4 nights.  They payment was taken from my bank account in two separate payments and my bank thought it was a fraudulent transaction and declined the second payment.   So i did not get to stay in this accommodation.  No one from host and stay has responded to my emails. because of the way they accessed money i was left with a blocked card and no way to pay for an alternative.  I needed to speak to the bank fraud department to unblock my card.  After I returned home, I found out that host and stay accessed my bank account again, 10 days later and took the remaining 341 pounds.  thieves...  Booking.com have not been any help either. 

Host was responsive and check in easy.  Despite this, the pictures as advertised are incorrect. The sofa and carpets are very visibly stained. The Kitchen tap drips consistently. There is wallpaper hanging from the ceiling in the living room and coming unattached from the wall in the hallway. Only two windows can be opened in the property and have to be held so with items available in the rooms, as they will not stay open otherwise.  There is a dent to the bedroom door and what appear to be make up marks and scuffs to all rooms.  No bin liners are provided, regardless of length of stay.  All in all, this property is in a lovely location, but most certainly doesn’t present as advertised. Thankfully I had no need for the “sofa bed”, but if anyone is to, I would advise bringing  own linen that includes a mattress protector

Location good; apartment pleasant but problems:  -  no written instructions -  no heating (I contacted owner to get central working but the instructions provided failed to get it working) -  very poor quality cooking pans -  a leaky tap - smart TV programs kept freezing probably due to weak wife 

Potentially a pleasant apartmetn but needs easy to operate heating and better kitchen equipment.

Huge bed just as well as we didn't know where the bedding was to make up the sofa bed. Mother and  2 adult daughters fitted in fine!  Poorly maintained flat. Low standard of cleanliness. Sofa very stained. Wall paper peeling from the wall. No instructions on how to operate central heating,  tv and wifi, or where to find bedding to make up the sofa bed. Noisy boiler located in the bedroom.  Lack of clarity on provision of toiletries and toilet roll insufficient amount left for 3 guests for 2 nights. 2 bath towels 1 hand towel for 3 guests. Towels stained and hard. Dismissive attitude from host when asking for customer service. Poor guest experience in terms of preparedness for our stay and provision of basic facilities. Host dismissive of customer concerns when raised. 

Disappointing flat not in keeping with advertising photographs.

location, double bed was big, check in process was easy, small touches like having soap, washing up liquid etc was excellent.  Boiler was constantly running, couldn't adjust thermostat. Toilet seat was broken on arrival. Sofa bed was stained and filthy when opened bed to use and had broken legs. Felt bad making my children sleep on it. The blanket on top of sofa smelled . Complained first night but nothing was rectified even though was told host would be informed. Left one night early as very unhappy.

had everything I needed. the kitchen was equipped. very comfortable house. Quiet location although far from the center but it was a family atmosphere. A very quiet area  At first the heating didn't heat up for 2 hours a day. But we adjusted the thermostat and it was perfect. We have nothing to complain about.

A good flat: clean, bright and airy, with big windows. It did however have a slightly damp smell.  Despite this its location cannot be faulted. Fabulous restaurants within 5 minutes walk, independent coffee shop less than a minute away and a great Sunday market in the neighbouring street.

Had a lovely stay, no complaints really :)  Was a great area for what I needed and I was happy with the facilities.

The area was perfect in the flat towels bedding very good .Bed was comfortable  The flat was not clean ,fridge &freezer had broken insides .The smell as soon as unlocking the front door ,the flat could of done with being aired which is impossible because the Windows don't open

Parking is a big issue and time to time heaters are not working

On arrival everything seemed fine but once I looked around a bit more I could noticeably see the place hadn’t been cleaned properly. I was disappointed with the lack of amenities such as it having tea and coffee tins but nothing was provided. For the money I paid I would have expected this as it just adds a nicer touch and makes you feel welcome. Also just 1 towel for a 2 night stay, at home this is fine but when I’ve paid to stay somewhere I would like a clean towel each night. No body wash or anything for a shower and lack of hot water and only 1 roll of toilet paper. The bathroom was not clean at all with urine stains on the toilet and hairs stuck to the wall. However, bed was lovely and comfy and the location was good. Shame about how noisy it was throughout the night but not much you could do do avoid that. Overall it wasn’t great and I wouldn’t stay again just due to the fact it felt unclean and I almost questioned whether it had actually been cleaned since the last guests.

The flat is in a good location with shops, cafe’s and restaurants within walkable distance.  Sadly, extremely disappointed with the cleanliness, which is such a shame as looked nice in photos. Upon arrival found sofa bed badly stained & hairs all over it. Despite a specific message about requiring bedding for sofa bed & being assured bedding for it provided, we found only some dirty old bedding with no covers shoved in a damp cupboard in bathroom which we certainly were not going to use. Luckily a local friend lent us some. The rug in the sitting area was filthy & so were the cushions on the sofa. We moved them as we didn’t want to use them. We found crumbs and sticky mess all over the kitchen counter top so we had to clean kitchen before using. The bathroom floor was also filthy and the room smelt badly of damp. It made us feel very uncomfortable being surrounded by dirt like that. Would not recommend or stay ever again.

Enjoyed my stay here. Very good location, good size flat. All I would stay is that it can get very stuffy with the windows unable to open. Apart from that everything else was excellent😃 Would go back again.

Good points. Great central location with easy access to town  and close to plenty of great restaurants and bars. The apartment is spacious and kitchen was clean and well equipped.   Negatives, Stains all over sofa, and on rug in living room, hair under loo seat and in bath. £50 cleaning fee and emailing asking us to take out all the bins!…. I’d start looking for a new cleaner. Over priced for what it is, 3 star at best!

We had a lovely stay, the apartment was lovely and in a great location close to the city centre and shops etc. Check in was easy and the space was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend away. Definitely would stay here again :) Thank you

This apartment was true the the photos and description (but with the addition of a handy compact clothes rail and shelves at the foot of the double bed), and located in a nice quiet area. The bathroom was a bit smaller than expected but well maintained. The main faults were that oddly the loo paper consisted of a kitchen roll cut crudely in half and there were no bin bags available. But overall a pleasant stay.

I loved this apartment, it was like home away from home and I would definitely book again.

The location was great.  Very handy for the centre of town and not far from the bus stop. The interior of the apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. The shutters were a great feature! I would definitely come again.  There wasn't anything I didn't like

No response to message requesting earlier drop off of suitcase. No response to request for TV to be installed properly!!Had to sleep on sofa in lounge one night because of a ridiculously strong wall light in yard below bedroom window flashing on sand off c.every five minutes.

Spent some time here over Christmas.  Small apartment in a lovely area, however there are some downsides. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired and there was a strong smell of sick in the master bedroom. I did contact Guest Homes about this but received a rather careless response about my comments being passed on to the cleaner (I sent them multiple photos).  It says it sleeps four but I’d argue it only comfortably sleeps two. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable.  There is a long list of potential charges left on the table which is absolutely fair enough but it comes across as unfriendly.

The boiler didn't work, the coffee maker leaked, the host handled it very poorly. I checked out a day early, as it was so cold I couldn't sleep. Host couldn't care less. Avoid this company, this is the 2nd of their places I've stayed at, both had issues.

Great place to stay, it had everything we needed to a two night stay. It was in a good location if you want to be right in centre. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again.

Apartment was OK, great location and not noissy despite being on the ground floor. Facilities OK and made some suggestions to make the experience just a little better.

Absolutely loved my stay here. It was comfortable, cosy, quiet and in a great location. Great communication and checking in and out was a breeze. 10/10 would recommend and hoping to stay again sometime soon.

This property is in a great location for all that Cheltenham has to offer. The heating was on when we arrived in the evening (in February) which was welcome but the living room/kitchen area was a bit chilly. The heating came on first thing in the morning but was on a timer so turned it self off - instructions would have been helpful as we were cold.  This is a fairly ‘no-frills’ property and doesn’t have any of the homely touches we normally look for in an AirBnB. There were three pages in the house manual which were full of rules/charges and we found this unwelcoming and officious. I understand there may be issues over fake tan spoiling the bed linen but to be told to not use the towel to wipe away any toothpaste residue was a new one for me. Towels were NOT to be used for anything other than drying one’s body - not something I feel I need to be told but perhaps there have been some careless guests at this property in the past.  The property is owned by a company and I think  the communication is done through a call centre in London. Therefore there isn’t the personal touch in terms of great restaurant/activities/insight into the local area etc.

Lovely little well equipped apartment in a great quiet and well situated location for the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Good location, has all the kit you need for your stay. Flat did have slight odour of smoke to it however but otherwise it was clean and well presented.

The frypan is too thin and exhumes so much smoke. Maybe you can place a thick one?

Clean and accurate to description. Great spot right in the hub of great shops, cafes, restaurants, parks. Owner communication very fast and easy as well as check in.
