The beds were comfy and plenty of space in the lodge. The view overlooking the duck pond was lovely and tranquil. The extra bathroom was very useful for 5 ladies. I had asked in advance of our weekend if hot tub towels were provided. I was told they were. What we were not made aware of was there was 1 towel per person for both the hot tub and bathing. I would suggest this is made clear within the booking details. The outside furniture was dirty and cushions wet, resulting in us cleaning and trying to dry the cushions. The chemicals in the hot tub were over powering, resulting in our eyes streaming and not able to use for long. The kitchen was not well stocked, ie plastic glasses for the hot tub, no champagne flutes, wine glasses of different sizes. We wanted to use the sauna. After reading the sign, we went to reception to book/sign in for the use. To find reception was closed. I contacted Host & Stay who contacted the owners. There were no instructions on how to use the sauna. Therefore we did not use it.
